A few blossoms found by the seashore this weekend. They suddenly glowed in a shaft of afternoon light.

One of those unexpected sights that made many a person pause, and one older gentleman even exclaimed, “What a glorious day it has turned out to be.”

Call and Response with the Sun*
Sun, will you shine in my sky?
Lord, yes indeed, I will try.
Sun, will you shine, brightening my sky?
Lord, yes indeed, I will try.
Sun, will you shine in my sky?
Lord, yes indeed, I will try.
Sun, my sweet sun, will your light fill this world?
Yes, Lord! Yes, indeed, I will try.
*Lyrics composed while sittin’ in the sun.

Part of the genesis of the story referenced in the previous post, about The Long Walk, was an accidental 26 mile walk I took a few months ago. Now, people keep asking me, “How do you accidentally walk a marathon?” Well, let me tell you, it is possible, if you keep wondering what’s around the bend.

I couldn’t think of a title so I’ll just let the leaf speak for itself.
