The man with whom I am involved I tend to describe as a science guy who works with light.  He says that’s not quite accurate but it works for me.  Since the beginning of our relationship we have  shared many an illuminated experience that we have described quite differently.  There was the infamous halo around the moon.  I will forever describe sunlight on water as “dancing” but now I also see the resulting light-filled ripples as “caustic.”  Most recently we have talked of rainbows.

I see rainbows all around on earth.  I am amazed at the places I find them like on the back of this silver tray left forgotten in a corner closet.   Or the rainbows formed on the surface of CDs left out of their case on a table near a sunny window.

I see them less often in the sky mostly because I usually…

SHOES!!!!!

I just did a quick look-see in my closet and I did a quick count, not including my slippers I counted 40 pairs of shoes and sneakers!!!! It is a girls dream to have shoes and one pair for every outfit is common but is this going to far? Would it make a difference if I told you I have more on the way? I have some more classy, dressy shoes coming for my interview, I need to dress to impress, look.I would say, maybe five or so more pairs coming. LOL I can not help myself. I love shoes and boots and sandals……. How about you? How many shoes and things do you have? Is it just a chick thing or are men like this also?

SLIM AWAY get slim and trim instantly!

I saw the commercial and thought it looked like it may work. It was 2 for 10.00 plus shipping and handling on each. When they came in the mail I put it right on, and was instantly disappointed. I guess I have a smaller waist then I though because as tight as I could get it and breath, was already the last zipper. It starts right under your bra so it does hide pretty good, and after a while you do start to sweat like it says you will, but, the bottom edge, that is a different. It ended right on my hips which are already big enough so this edge sitting there was awful. I guess in different pants it might hide it. As I moved around and the day went on it started to bunch up on me. The end that is not zippered starts to slip out under the zippered part. I guess in the end if I was bigger than a size 12 it may work better but if you are smaller than that it is not a good idea to spend the money. It ends up being over 20 in the end. This is just my experience and opinion.

I found it as I walked around the small area that I sum up as “the parking lot,” a landscape composed of a parking lot in an office park surrounded by mounds of man-made green.  When I first saw it upon the hill — a bit of white, bowl-shaped — I thought it simply litter.  Perhaps a discarded jug of milk or even bleach.  If you knew where to look you can actually see it in the above picture.  I kept ignoring it.  But as I walked around snapping photos of trees and leaves and rocks and brightly lit currents in the muddy stream, the light kept striking that white upon the hill.  And finally my curiosity was piqued.

Old bones bleached white by time.

From the teeth, an herbivore, probably a white-tailed deer.

Carried in by a coyote?  Unsurfaced by recent storms?

Most impressive to me are the patterns…

CHRONICLE

Now, this movie starts out very slow. I feel it is one of those that they put all the best parts in the previews, but, my sons loved it. It does have a twist and ends up with a different ending then I thought but, still , only half of the movie is good I feel. This one I have to say is tricky. I guess this is a thumbs half-way!!!
