With summer here my two boys are more bored than ever, as I work different hours and not enough of them , we can’t afford to do anything special. Each boy has a free week of camp thanks to a wonderful church we attended in Hampden Maine, it is called Camp Good News and it is in Livermore falls. My older son will be into his 5 year and my little one is on his 2. We do not attend church regularly but I feel a little God in a young boys life is a good thing.I was never a tom boy and never learned how to camp or fish, my boys do not have a male influence in there lives to teach them these things. We were on the list for a big brother so long that now he is too old!I never bothered with my younger one after that. We do not have family and they do not have a father in there lives who bothers with anything.We, I as a single mother try to do the best that I can by them, my medical issues do not help I know, but we give them the best we can as a woman, I wonder…. Will it be enough? Could the lack of male influence have permanent effects on my boys?…I know that being low income has, my medical issues has….Will this as well???
