How to be mentally healthy
I remember many years back when a terrible panic came crashing down on me with no apparent reason. I was so scared, my heart was pounding out of my chest and I couldn’t get enough air that I have to be brought to a nearby hospital. I suffered a nervous breakdown.
The days that followed after the hospitalization was more difficult to bear but I was determined not to take any medications because I was afraid of becoming dependent on it. I read everything I could and realized later that attending to my mental health was crucial to my general well-being and to living a life that is full.

Understanding oneself is necessary. What you believe about yourself are usually based on what the significant people in your life told you or the result of your reaction on what they say about you while you were growing up. Distorted self-concept arise…

How Are You Living?
Zen and the Art of Home Repair
We’re going to try little exercise. No need to change into your sweats, it’s not that kind of exercise. Or do; I’m a DIY semi-financial blog, not the fashion police.
Start by taking a deep, slow breath.
As the sawdust fills your nostrils, let your mind empty itself of any thoughts.
Don’t think about that hole you just drilled in the wrong place.
Don’t think about the time and money you are going to have to spend to replace that new door you just ruined.
And definitely don’t think about the throbbing on the end of your thumb, where the hammer slipped.
Another deep breath, and, as you exhale, let all intrusive thoughts of giving up and hiring a contractor leave your mind.
Feel better now?
I See Said the Blind Man, as He Picked Up His Hammer and Saw
We’ve gone over many times how the feelings of accomplishment…

Find Meaning In Your Life *NEW POST*
By Dr. Perry, PhD
“There’s nothing like impending death to rouse you from existential boredom.” ~Roger Ebert
One of my pet peeves is to hear others complain about how bored they are with life. They wonder out loud, “What is the purpose of it all if we are going to die anyway?” To be bored with our life is a luxury we cannot afford and should not indulge.
I believe that this combination of boredom and the unreasonable belief that time can be wasted without repercussions is due primarily to not having a clear meaning for your life. Meaning can be found in the most beautiful moments of life as well as the most heart wrenching ones. Often, the meaning of one’s life is found after you have crossed paths with death. After an encounter with the possibility of nonexistence, we tend to renew our vows to life. Suddenly, life appears…

How I Doubled My Living Space (Without Building More House!)
Watch your head!
The History of the Headquarters now goes back about three years. In that time, we ripped out and replaced the kitchen, ripped out and replaced the bathroom, installed all new floors throughout, and even put lights in the bedrooms where there had been none before.
All of these projects were in the first six weeks of owning the home; we hadn’t even started living there yet and we knew these projects had to happen. And yes, that was a ridiculously busy six weeks. Full time job, spouse with part-time job, and two kids under the age of five.
More recently, specifically in the dead of this most recent winter, we realized that we could really utilize the house far more efficiently than we had been.
What a Beautiful…Basement?
One of the selling points of this house for me was the large, spacious basement. I know…

Devastated
My heart is on fire with grief, guilt is taking over, my responsibility to my loved ones who counted on me has been betrayed. I opened the door, I let my beautiful girl outside at night and then left her out side when I went to bed. I killed my best friend. My precious girl, she was an angel, she was the most well behaved animal I have even had the pleasure of meeting. She didn’t get up on things or rip things, she never ever not used her litter box. She was very simple and happy. She deserved so much better. She was only 7. I can not forgive God anymore, he has taken so much from me, I don’t need to be stronger! I don’t need to endure anymore great pain! I have had so much pain in my life. I mean, cmon, my Adrenal Glands were so over used by the time I hit my 20 that they quit at 22! Not deformed or any other reason, they were just exhausted! I understand a lot of the things that have happened in my life and I even understand the reason behind them and I did need to learn to be stronger and I was. But I have lived through it, I beat the pain, I saved myself and my kids from all the abuse and I made myself into the person I am now. I beat cancer. I have over come and have my rewards for my troubles. I have the most perfect man for me that could ever be, we have our quirky house, and we have our boys. Yes, his ex is still mentally and emotionally abusing his two and my grandkids are in a horrible situation but we are dealing, Day by day. How could anyone possibly thing I didn’t still need her! How could anyone think I could just get up and move on with out my shadow? She has been next to me every day since she could walk. She was my sunshine, my happiness and my baby.

WhaT is all this about August? She was born and then God took my only 2 best friends ever in August?
when we are apart….

Been having a really crappy time lately but , my boy went back to college today. I have had some version of this up near there rooms or some were most of their lives, so, once more I need to pray to the Angels to protect my baby.
A Year of Creative Projects: Paper Crafts
Hello everyone! Several months ago, I shared with you my goal of doing a craft project for every day of 2018 (read about it here). I’m still crafting daily, but I have not had as many opportunities to blog as often as I would like because of my son being at home with me all day during the past few months. Now he is enrolled in a new school, and I finally have more time for blogging. Yay!
So for today’s post, I am sharing some of my favorite paper craft projects. I love making handmade cards and gift tags for special occasions. Continue scrolling for photos, and let me know which project you like best.

5 DIY Dollhouses
I LOVE dollhouses! I recently received a dollhouse as a gift, and I plan on giving it a makeover in the next few weeks. My only problem with dollhouses is that they can be costly. The higher end houses cost hundreds, sometimes thousands of dollars. That’s why I enjoy creating and decorating dollhouses using crates and other fun supplies.
