Vellum is a great way to add a little class to a project. It is a translucent product resembling parchment and it can add dimension and visual interest to paper crafts. Since it is less porous than paper, it will take ink longer to dry so heat embossing vellum is definitely an option. See how I created this beautiful card.

Directions

Step 1

Ink floral stamps with Brilliance Moonlight White Ink. Stamp onto the yellow vellum. Pour Imagine Embossing Powder in White on images and heat set.

Step 2

Ink leaves with Brilliance in Moonlight White Ink. Stamp on green Vellum. Pour Embossing Powder in White on images and heat set. While vellum embosses beautifully, be careful not to overheat because it can buckle or wrinkle under the heat. Try heat setting vellum from underneath for perfect results every time.

Die cut flower…

We all know that Adolf Hitler was responsible for sending six million Jews to their deaths. Her name was Rosa Bernile Nienau and she was a little girl of Jewish origin in Germany in the 1930s. After this premise, you could imagine her end in a gas chamber of Auschwitz or another Nazi camp. Instead Rosa has a friend who preserves her from any racial persecution, a friend with a high-sounding name: Adolf Hitler.
This incredible photograph shows the smiling Nazi leader embracing the young Jewish girl, who referred to him as ‘Uncle Hitler’ and became known as his ‘sweetheart’ at his Alpine retreat.
Personally inscribed by Hitler, this photograph was taken in the summer of 1933 at the Berghof just six years before the outbreak of the Second World War!
The photo, taken by Hitler’s official photographer Heinrich Hoffmann, is signed by Hitler in dark blue ink which says:…

For today’s card, I used the new Dewlets Die to create a beautiful paper daisy. I used the die to cut out a few petals and adhered it on the card panel with the On Point Glue. Then I created a striped pattern on the card base using washi tape and VersaFine ink. To jazz up the flower I added tiny dots using the Pico embellisher, which is super shiny and dimensional. I finished the card with a sentiment “Wish Big”. This is a perfect project to be done with kids.
