DIY Fall Decor

All of these DIY’s are fairly simple and I was really happy with how they all turned out. You can get the majority of the supplies at a craft store or you can order it online. This is actually my first time decorating for fall and I probably went a little over board, but I am in love with the decorations and probably won’t want to take them down when spring comes along.

Leaf Garland

Supplies:

  • Fake Leaves
  • Gold Paint
  • String
  • Tape

Step 1- I taped the leaves to cardboard to make them easy to paint and gave them all two coats of paint.

Step 2- Once dry attach the leaves to a string. I just tape them to an existing garland I had to make it feel like fall. If you want to know how to make the garland you can read about it here.fullsizeoutput_a32

A True DIY Innovator

Screen Shot 2017-11-07 at 8.46.07 AMDisclaimer-Captain DIY and DIYtoFI.blog highly recommend exercising extreme caution when attempting DIY projects. Not everybody can do everything, and some things should only be done by professionals. Keep your digits attached, and keep the insurance company off of your back. Do it right or call the right people!

Today we have a look at some serious DIYers in action. I came across this video on Youtube this morning about a guy who has made his own Powerbank out of used lithium ion batteries. He even uses them to power his car!

This is some dangerous stuff here, and I absolutely DO NOT recommend you try this. In fact, I won’t be trying it, as I’m not totally confident in my ability to not get blown up. I’ve seen the awesome power of electricity let loose, and it is scary as hell.

That being said, it was amazing to watch this…

How to Identify Passive-Aggressive Behavior

Dr. Eric Perry's avatarDr. Eric Perry’s Blog

By Dr. Perry, PhD

“Let’s meet at noon at the gym – oh wait, you probably don’t know where that is.” ~ Anonymous

We all have that friend, co-worker or family member who has a special way of saying seemingly harmless words that makes us feel like we have been slapped across the face with a rose only to later find we have been embedded with thorns. These same individuals have the habit of doing or purposely not doing something in order to impede your stride. Procrastination, stalling, last minute cancelations; all of these are done while smiling innocently with no hint of anger. The passive aggressive person is often the nicest person in the room. But the smile and feigned innocence hides bottled up aggression and anger. Having no outlet, this anger will display itself through their words and behaviors.

Although no longer recognized by the American Psychological Association…

This topic has been a hot-button subject for a number of years. Causing a lot of women to have discussions which often differ in opinions and views. Nobody wants to get caught doing something they know they shouldn’t and have to face the music. This is human nature and it’s true of both men and women. However, some men have a certain way of misconstruing their words to cause confusion and in some cases to the blame to their partner.

  1. Enhance or Improve Themselves:

Plant help please!!

I have searched and Google this plant, I think I have an idea on what it is but I want to get it to grow more than one vine. Now with my other plants I cut the tip off and most times it sprouts a new vine but with this one it will just sprout somewere on the same vine! It doesn’t move very easy and is delicate but at the same time heavy and tough. What I want is to have a new vine from the pot. Anyone have any ideas???

Movie review

I had meant to do a lot of other movies and maybe someday I will catch up but for now…

The Houses October Built

They have an interesting movie here, it takes awhile to get to the good parts but once you do it isn’t bad. I think things that could be reality are the scary ones. A movie that is human against human, that’s the fear. The story itself is a good one and realistic, when you start asking around to haunted house actors about the ultimate extreme haunt, we’ll, you probably will get it. It’s believable, the characters are pretty good, and the real footage of haunts from different states adds some more realism to it. The ending is one of those, it just stops ,things which I was not happy about, till I saw the just came out with a number 2. Now just came out as in September 2017 so I am not sure when I will see it but at least I can hope for some details on the ending of the first movie.

I prob have lost a good twenty post in the last couple days and can’t find them anywhere. I just want you all to know there may be some weird stuff on here as I try to fig this all out.

William James said “Things are not as they are, but as we are.” We really do see differently from anyone else. Every moment is seen from our perspective and that’s a great thing. From our perspective, we are the center of our world and from that center, we have the power to choose how we see anything. The gift of freedom to perceive is priceless! It’s the key to being happy
