DIY Flower Canvas

Adrienne Brown's avatarWonderful Creations

I love any craft project involving flowers. So I was excited when I found this simple and easy flower canvas project on Youtube. Michaels created the video, and it inspired me to make a version of the wall art for my home.

Flower CanvasSupplies:

  • 12″ x 12″ white canvas
  • Assortment of faux flowers
  • Cardstock
  • Hot glue gun and glue sticks
  • Scissors
  • Pencil

Instructions:

1. Draw the shape of a vase on a sheet of cardstock. Cut it out of the paper and then glue it to the canvas. Make the paper vase large enough to where it will fill up about 3/4 of the canvas, leaving space at the top for flowers.

How To Tint Glass at Home {Super Easy!}

Hi friends! Sometimes you come across a really cool techniques when you are trying to do something else, this is one of those times!

I got tired of my watercolor brushes rolling off my table as I worked and also It’s better (according to experts) to dry your brushes flat rather than in a cup so I thought I would like a brush rest. Since I am cheap frugal I decided I could probably find a really funky colored glass ashtray at the local antiques mall that would be delightful (and cheap) for this job. Believe it or not I only saw one ashtray at the antiques place and it was not delightful but I did find two shallow clear pressed glass bowls with fluted edges that would do the trick. Best of all was the price $1.25 for the set! Score!

Empaths

This hits home with me, I am an empath. Most my life I just thought I was a basket case, always emotional and misunderstood by everyone. I think I suppressed it for so long that now I can keep it buried sometimes if out in public. It has effected my life in so many ways, I hardly ever leave my house, it takes so much out of me and I already have a medical illness that does that on its own.
