“He who has eyes to see and ears to hear may convince himself that no mortal can keep a secret. If his lips are silent, he chatters with his fingertips; betrayal oozes out of him at every pore.” ~Sigmund Freud
In my profession it is important to know if someone is lying to me or more importantly to themselves. Whether it is a small lie or a malicious lie, everyone lies at some point. Research shows that on average, people lie 10 times per day. Many people lie to keep the peace or to inflate their ego. Others might lie because they are pathological liars or have a personality disorder.
Lying appears to be part of our genetic makeup. It develops early in children and peaks in adolescence when a person begins to establish their identity and independence. Lying declines as…

How to Spot Psychological Manipulators
By Dr. Perry, PhD
“You learn a lot about people when they don’t get what they want.” ~Anonymous
Like the waves that forcefully crash on the shore and later gracefully retreat, there is an ebb and flow to life. The seasons change and the flowers bloom, only to later wilt. We all give and take in our daily lives. Our interactions with one another are overall based on a healthy exchange of emotions, ideas and positive social interactions. There are some individuals, that like crashing waves have a disruptive influence in our lives. They seem only interested in profiting from the relationship and will give little or nothing in exchange. They use psychological manipulation to disguise their true intent.
Psychological manipulation is a type of social influence that uses deception, underhanded tactics and abuse in order to achieve the interests of the manipulator. The manipulator may use these tactics for…

Couple sticks….
I haven’t shared any of the things I have been making much so I am putting some together. Two things Maine has plenty of are sticks and pine cones. They are naturally pretty and FREE! We had left over birch branches from the wedding things and I wanted to use them for something creative. The lighted branches was one of the centerpieces from our wedding and I just jazzed up a bit. I am going to make another twig wreath but with a mirror in the middle , it won’t be a snowflake but I think I will still like it.
More to come, always!!

A shared project
I’m still shopping and making things even though Christmas is only a few days away! So before I take a break, I want to share a fun and easy project I did for the holidays. With just a little time and a few supplies, you too can create a beautiful winter wreath for Christmas! […]
Just a little snow!!
Magic Tracks Scam!
We wanted to order these for the grandkids and thought this seemed like a good deal, but, I unchecked the box for the extensions but got charged anyway, then to get it by Christmas it was another 6.99. Now on the site it says may not arrive by Xmas but didn’t before. It’s a 50 waste of money when you can just go to Walmart and pay less for two packs.
Don’t fall for it!!

Blogmas: Day 10 Sometimes our surroundings look so depressing that we need a change. Good Monday morning friends! Aly Dosdall here to kick off Holiday Decor Week with a quick and easy Christmas Tree Garland I made with the Banner Punch Board and the Square Punch Board. Bouquet preservation
I made my wedding bouquet as some of you know, using latex Cali Lilly, leaf vines and other things, in a teardrop swag style.

So then the question was how do I keep it dust free , ready Incase I decide to use it again or simply because I want to keep it.
In all the websites it talks about fresh flowers or says just hang in sight to be dusted regularly. Dust??? Nope. Now I looked for a bag big enough and clear that I could use but didn’t find one. I needed to move it for Xmas so I got a little creative. I could and should have waited for help instead of trying to do it all one handed but I took out my kitchen Saran Wrap and started wrapping , trying not to get it to tight to squish anything. My son said it looks like a mummy.

Ignore the mess in the background, my duster on the floor, I tend to do three or four things at once.
Wall stickers, NOT!
Bought these at Michaels craft store and thought what a help these will be decorating the house for Xmas, nope. I haven’t got the regular year round decor up yet so I have tons of space. These things do not stay stuck on the walls! I had to use scotch tape to keep them up , the words even don’t stay. On the bend that was made from being folded in the box keeps popping up, it’s horrible. I DO NOT recommend buying these!!!
Michaels craft stores
