She’s growing so fast it’s hard to keep up. My granddaughter saw her brother trying to ride his bike and looked at me with a , we’re mine, look. This is what she picked out. Took to it right away, going backwards!!!

My wedding is in 6 days. I couldn’t b more stressed. It’s not even over the wedding!!! My truck died and is not coming back, david drives a standard and I have killed my share, we need something bigger than a car anyway.
We are trying to get the house as done as possible, outside and in since it’s the big reveal!!
One of my kitties has been gone for about a month now and I have had her for 6 years.
And, my soon to be mother in law hates me. David’s ex put a bad taste in her mouth that she can’t see past I guess.
And then the wedding, we have done all the planning and putting things together ourselves. The decorations have me worried, too much, too little, wrong combo of things, will it look like a no nothing bride did it?
Then, the vows, david wants to do our own vows!!! I can’t express in any way how much I love him, how much he has changed my life.
Sooooo. Today, I’m drowning.

A new Era? ?
While planning my wedding there are things that have come to my attention that I have found rather bothersome.
Unless u r looking to spend 300 or more to rent a party tent, u r out of luck if it rains. They sell these, party tents, all over on ebay or amazon and they run from 30 to 2,000. But almost ever one I read states they are for sun protection and not made for wind or rain… So, that means if u plan an outside wedding and it rains, u r out of luck??? Really??? That just doesn’t work for me. Lots of people want to be outside but can’t afford a large tent that is wind and rain proof. 300, that’s just for a small one. Why does it have to cost thousands of dollars to have a nice , beautiful wedding ?? They say to save money, no caterers, ok, family or local places. No photographer’s, ok, family and friends snap away, “we r doing this” they do have excellent photo shops now but of course that’s another 50 or so. For music, go local, friends or make your own recording , I’m lucky that david is a former band member and has all we need for that, but then you are still looking at , flowers, real ones r very costly since u need a lot! The grooms clothes are not usually on hand and same with the dress. I think the Era of the DIY wedding is upon us! Brides are doing more themselves and I can see why!!
I bothers me how much you need to spend to have a wedding these days.I know it used to have traditionally the brides parents pay and all the old things that went with weddings but now u have people who are doing it more than once . It isn’t easy to do on a tight budget but I think I can safely say I will be under 1,000 when we r done. Here’s hoping!!! October 14 is coming quick!!
3 weeks
So, I have exactly 3 weeks left to my wedding. My body is swollen so my dress is about 3 inches to small. I still have tons of decorations to make , all the guys need clothes, divorce papers so we can get licensed, don’t have enough food yet for the pot luck, don’t have enough chairs yet, I do, have my bouquet finished, (I think) I have added a couple things since I took the pic but, will be doing that prob all the time till then. Lol. OCD thing!! 
Wedding update
I got my dress, can’t try it on with out another set of hands and sent out a 911 on Friday to all my friends. Nothing yet.
We got a 10 x 30 wedding tent and a white tarp so we will have a space of 10 x 60 if it rains. If not we will b even better.
Wanted a reception and had people suggest a pot luck so we are working on that. I have my bouquet started. We still need to get more chairs, need to go back to augusta and get copy of my divorce papers so we can get the license, david hasn’t started on his stuff at all, alter, clothes, stumps. We are going fancy rustic. Birch wood log alter, like a bunch of stuff to match. 
Going with just royal blue and white decor, making it all myself. Still need the cake.
Two days short of a month left!!!
Update
On the house!!! Lol. It’s almost to the stage of decorating, still have boxes to unpack and haven’t found all the China cabinet stuff from the boys yet but, it’s coming along nice. Of course there is wedding stuff everywere!!!
David found this chair for me, it’s just like the one I lost in the fire 2 weeks before Jacobs first birthday. (19 now) I loved rocking him in it. It fits in perfectly with the house.
We found a pot rack to put up in the kitchen, can’t wait to get to painting in here but, and don’t mind the fish hook lol, it was a, just put it there, kind of thing!!!
Decided on were to put the China cabinet and the mirror over it. I still haven’t been able to get it the way I want with the knick knacks and things till I find them all. All the things the boys have made me over the years go in first. Then I will decide on unused space.
Found this for 10.! It’s on wheels and solid. Needs some love and new pulls but it’s going to be perfect for the extra bed sheets and things. For now this is the laundry room, but someday it’s going to b the new bathroom.
And, finally this huge wicker set of loveseat, 2 chair, rocking chair, 2 end tables and plant stand to match a stool a shelf and a hanging plant holder that we had already. I love it! Felt like we stole it at 70.! Cushions are moldy so have to fix that but still!!!
Going to b a great sunporch! Neeeeds paint!!! Not much for the peachy color it is now. Lol

New light
In the past eight months exactly sept 1, there have been so many drastic changes in my life. All for the better in one way or another.
I met my soul mate, again.
We bought a house
We moved in together which means a new town and new school, all new streets and neighbors.
I was diagnosed with cervical cancer to add to my list of health issues.
They removed all the cervical cancer!
Learning to DIY everything from windows to floors to lights and faucets!
I have never had my own yard nevermind an acre! !
Getting married in one month and 14 days, doing almost all of it ourselves.
My life hasn’t been the worst but I have seen my share of horror and evil in this world and believe everything in my life has been preparing me for this, my happy ending.
I struggled to be a disabled mom and dad to my son’s who I wanted to grow to be healthy and happy young men going out to live full lives as adults and not feeling the need to compensate for what they didn’t have as boys. A father, money, a home and a mother who wasn’t sickly. My focus has been on myself and my family mentally and emotionally for so long that once my older son left home for school, I felt a little lost. My other boy is 14, 6 feet tall and full of confidence as to who he is. That’s when David came into my life after 25 years. I realized he was gods way of saying,” it’s ok to find love and let go, be happy, let all that work pay off,” and that’s exactly what it has been like for 8 months.
Cancer free
It is with great emotion that I tell you, I was recently diagnosed with cervical cancer. They immediately started on removing it. I had two different proceedings done and after my second , they say it’s all gone!
I am STILL remodeling my house, still planning a backyard wedding for October 14 and then this, I was more frustrated that I had to remain in bed for a week than anything else! Lol it just never crossed my mind they would fail. I was just not worried, I new, I just had that feeling inside that it was all going to be ok and they would get rid of it all. I was in bed with no problems for the first three days, then on day four I moved around a bit, day five- more and on day 6 was put back to bed rest. Pushed it. Yesterday was day one week and I’m still trying to be easy but it’s so hard with everything else going on.
I still have a , I guess u could say, dormant mass inside my intestines that has just stayed there, not changing, not growing, not doing anything. It’s been there for a few years and the concern has always been with major surgery and how my body would handle it. This was not a major surgery but it was still pretty invasive, I think I handled it just fine. The Dr don’t want to mess with it if they don’t have to, I can see y.
I start with a new primary care next week and am very excited. I have been dealing with so much unknown that it’s got me frustrated, I’m hoping a new set of eyes will finally find me some answers.
Wedding!!!
I’m not tearing out my hair. I’m not running on an empty bank account. I’m not going big and fancy.
I am making all my decorations myself. I am getting my dress for under 100.! Hopefully with no needed alterations. I am buying a 10 x 30 tent and we have a very large white tarp we are adding to it. I am using my back yard , we are making tables and putting white sheets over them. I have royal blue as my color and the October colors will lend a hand, I hope.
I still need to figure out, photos, video, flowers, chairs and my hubby needs his suit. I still need to decide on, a reception – appetizers, deserts, Snax kinda thing? Ask guests to bring things? Would that be weird? Then we need plates, drink ware and a cake. I want a cake but how to do that and not have to do all of the other stuff?
My girls
My kitties have just become so much more social and playful since we moved here. It scares me because they keep crossing the street so I try to get them to stay in back of the house. Did u know a cat considers a two mile radius to be there boundaries! !!! Two miles. Wow! I don’t want them to leave our one acre. I have been looking into ways to keep them away from the road but whatever I do they can just go around it!!
